Jessica has been writing stories since she was a kid. From travel accounts, to short stories, to news reporting and blogging she’s exercised both pen and keyboard to convey something of resonance and importance. Particularly intrigued by travel, people, health and wellness, nightlife and social issues, she uses writing as a form of education and exploration.
She hails from a small town in Rhode Island known for salmon-colored pants and clam chowder, before spending six years living, working and studying in Boston, Mass. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Journalism from Stonehill College, a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Northeastern University and a stack of student loan bills that would make a grown man weep. In 2010, with a plane ticket and a leap of faith, she left everything she’s known behind to chase dreams in the sparkling City of Angels. She currently writes for LA-based green magazine, LuxEco Living and is the Los Angeles Editor for cocktail magazine, CitySip.com. She also has a background in public relations, social media, video (shooting/editing), publishing, copy editing, SEO, marketing and photography.
She has been published in various magazines, newspapers and blogs over the last nine years, including The Newport Daily News, Newport Life Magazine, The Brockton Enterprise, InTravel Magazine, TheImbiber.net and Living Well Magazine. Her blog Una Bella Vita spans across a variety of topics including commentary on current events, pop culture, health/wellness trends, social issues, cocktail/nightlife in LA and a bit of personal stuff in between.
