Big things are happening for LA-based, Philly-born booze writer, Dan Dunn.Fox announced the green light to shoot single-camera comedy pilot, Living Loaded, based on Dunn’s book of the same name. Hilarity can be expected, as this pilot comes from the guys of FX’s comedy series, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell. Living Loaded follows the wild, never-ending party life of booze writer (Dunn) who’s forced to make a career change when he’s offered a serious radio gig.
Co-written by Dunn, McElhenney and Rosell, the pilot hails from FX producers. McElhenney will be the showrunner, while Rosell will be executive producer (along with Sunny’s Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton and 3 Arts’ Nick Frenkel and Michael Rotenberg) and Dunn will act as supervising producer. Both McElhenney and Rosell are also executive producers on FX’s upcoming animated series Unsupervised (premieres January 19th). Fox announced yesterday that they’ve picked up three other pilots in addition to Living Loaded: Dana Fox’s Ben Fox is My Manny, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim’s Guilty and an untitled serial killer project from Kevin Williamson.
Living Loaded was published February 2011 by Random House.
